After a little investigation it turns out the board’s rather paltry VRM design is to blame for this limitation.
It’s 4 phase design runs incredibly hot even at stock speed, and when you apply even a small overclock it gets hot enough to trigger a
throttle of the processor back down to stock speed. By applying a fan directly to the VRMs we were able to greatly extend the
period of time before the board began to throttle, but even with a fan you won’t be able to get your CPU voltage up much beyond 1.28V before it overheats.

The CPU hit 4.8GHz without breaking a sweat, right off the bat. We didn't even work our way up the scale, we simply popped in the chip and selected 4.8GHz in the BIOS, that's it. Outstanding, really.

Mit dem neuen Bios in Version 1.6 konnten wir bei einem Schnelltest auch einen Multi über 48 erfolgreich betreiben. Mit 5,1GHz gelang der Boot des Betriebssystems ohne Absturz.
