Dirty Bomb - competitive match example

Pošto sam dosta unutra pokušao sam naći prikladan materijal za tu staviti kako bi se moglo vidjeti bolje o kakvoj se igri radi.

 

PixelTwitch kanal je dobio prava na snimanje competitivnih mečeva i promociju igre pa ne bi trebalo biti nekih prevelikih sumnji za kršenje NDA pravila samo ne previše širiti ovaj link (**za SD je bitno da je video "unlisted" on youtube).

 

Inače oni imaju već više od 30-tak video uradaka snimljenih DB competitivnih borbi i dosta sam ih pregledao, a ovdje vidim da je komentator usavršio kretanje po mapi (free fly+fps view) i komentiranje, a uz to kvaliteta igrača i borbi je izvanredna pa treba to obavezno pogledati. Oni koji vole igre tipa Brink će biti oduševljeni... :)

 

Zanimljivo je promotriti taktiku rješevanja objektiva, koji se likovi najviše koriste za obranu i napad te upotrebu njihovih ablitiesa, uočiti bitne lokacije (pozicije) na mapama (glavni i sekundarni objektivi) oko kojih se vodi borba i koje se nastoje zauzeti.   

 

Radi se o kompletnim Stopwatch borbama na mapama WHITECHAPEL i VICTORIA. Dakle, gleda se tko ima bolje ukupno vrijeme u izvršavanju objektiva, a obje ekipe igraju kao napadači i obrambeni timovi.

Dirty Bomb - or Extraction - oh, no, wait... Dirty Bomb is a new objective based multiplayer shooter from Bromley-based developer Splash Damage, them wot did the Enemy Territory games as well as Brink, and having played it recently I can say it's quite the thing. A PC exclusive, it doesn't have some of the technical problems that blighted the console versions of Brink, and it's something of a return to the hardcore, much-loved roots of Splash Damage's Enemy Territory games, with a sharp focus on team work and hard-edged competitive play that's as involved as you can get with an online shooter.

Dirty Bomb is an objective-based multiplayer shooter from developers Splash Damage, the folks who've been making invariably excellent objective-based multiplayer shooters for the last thousand or so years. It's a team-focused first person shooter in which you work together using guns to achieve things, while another bunch of players works together using their guns to stop you.

The free to play shooter was revealed ages ago before slinking back into an epoch-long closed beta slumber. Now that it's finally re-emerging from its developmental chrysalis, all moist with a nutritious outer sheen and ready to play, I've been allowed to have a go. And it's really quite good.

Welcome to the first edition of evaczone's draft games!
While many of you would of competed in hundreds of these before I am guessing many of you are brand new to this and probably thinking "What on earth is this?" We understand that not many of you will of found a team yet but want to experience competitive game play. This is where you will find no better competition. You can sign up as a single player and you will get "drafted" into a team. We tend to work as a "first come first served" basis where if we have too many players the first 10/15/20 players will be selected ahead of the others.

How to play?:
- First off every player must be using Teamspeak3 with/without a mic.
- Be ready and waiting on teamspeak 10 mins before we are meant to start, if you are late we might of filled the spot so make sure you are on time!
- We play BEST OF 3 MAPS. So make sure you have enough time to play!
- We plan on playing every map and not skipping any, no matter how much you dislike the map
- In the rare case of REALLY un-even teams after a map we might re-draft teams. This has not been needed yet but is just a heads up!

How to Sign up?
- To sign up all you need to do is reply to this post. Just add your name and country! We will aim for at least 10-12 players each session. If we get more that is not a problem. We can have people sub in/out as and when needed. It is also nice to have spectators checking to see how Spectating a match is! Any and all feedback is helpful so we need to gather as much as we can.

Hello one and all,

We’ve been busily working away on Dirty Bomb; iterating and improving on it while seeking out the right partners as we move toward launch. So we are very pleased to announce that Dirty Bomb will be heading to Steam!

But first, we need to carry out some preparatory work: From the 17th of December, at approximately 10PM GMT, until January 2015, Dirty Bomb will be offline. We’re sorry you won’t be able get your daily fix of mercenary mayhem for a little while, but taking this time will allow us to get the maximum amount of high-quality work and testing done as possible. We will return to normal service as quickly as possible, and it’ll soon be time to test the system in the wild once again.

We’ll keep you updated as time goes on, so be sure to keep an eye out on your emails and the forums.

Closed Beta Update V41588 (6th January 2015)

 

Welcome one and all to the first Dirty Bomb update of 2015! While we've included plenty of awesome things like parties & the bones of ranked match making, the big thing with this update is the move to Steam!

Steam Integration
With many a late night, and sly slinking into free meeting rooms; things have been getting rather hot and steamy in the office lately. The team has been hammering away on keyboards and throwing monitors into windows (LCDs simply don’t always go THROUGH windows like the good ol’ CRTs used to) in order to get Steam flowing through Dirty Bomb’s veins.

The hard work has paid off; Dirty Bomb now uses Steam in Nexon’s territories! We’re still in Closed Beta, so a Closed Beta key will be required to access Dirty Bomb on Steam. If you have been a Closed Beta tester, you should receive a Dirty Bomb Closed Beta Key from Nexon via email within the next 24 hrs.

Make sure you have Steam downloaded and an account made so you can redeem your Dirty Bomb Closed Beta key then fire up the game!

And now that we’re on Steam, the Steam overlay, patching system and friends functionality will be available in Dirty Bomb. But that’s not all! With the move to Steam, we’ve got a new patch for you with some balancing tweaks and sweet new features– read all about it below.

Ranked Matchmaking – Phase 1
Want to dive into matches against players within your own skill range? Ranked matchmaking will eventually allow you to do just that. This first phase of Ranked Matchmaking focuses on the actual matching and balancing of players and teams, with the goal being to have relatively balanced matches produced by the system.

Visible ranks will come later; right now we simply want to ensure that the system is doing a solid job of matching up similarly skilled players to face off against each other.

Please bear in mind that as the Closed Beta has quite a small player pool, the MM queue may take a little while to find matches for you. The best time to utilise Ranked MM is during the suggested play times, however please feel free to give it a shot at other times too. With this outing, there may well be one or two bugs in the system, but it’s worth getting into your hands this early for feedback anyway. We also want you to be aware that we may switch matchmaking off and back on from time to time, based on testing needs.

Party Matchmaking – Phase 1
Teamwork is pretty important in Dirty Bomb, the more communication and cooperation you have on your team, the more likely you are to win.

What better way to find a solid team than to invite your friends in-game, party-up, and search for a ranked party match? The current party MM system allows groups of up to 5 players per team to band together and take on a rival Mercenary operation as they bid to complete Dirty Bomb’s maps and make off with the mission rewards.

As with solo Ranked MM, this is the first phase implementation, and MM times are dependent on the current player population.

Note: At the moment, both the inviter and invitee need to have Dirty Bomb open in order for an invitation to be possible. This will change once Dirty Bomb leaves Closed Beta.

Complete The Objective or Die Trying!
When joining the matchmaking queue, you’ll be stepping out of casual play and up to the next level of competition. Your Rank, as well as your teammates’, will be on the line. When you matchmake, you’re committing to playing the full match.

To help maintain Rank integrity and provide a more enjoyable experience for both teams , we have implemented an anti-leaver system that will penalise those who leave a matchmade game.
What triggers a penalty?

From the time you have been presented with a match, to the time the game finishes, you’re actively engaged in the competitive environment. Leaving at any stage during this period will trigger a penalty….so make sure you make you’re ready for the long haul before starting a search!

Once a match is found, you’ll need to accept a game invite. Should you fail to accept the invite, or decline it, you will receive a 2 minute suspension from the matchmaking queue. Subsequent failures to accept the game will increase your new suspension time by 1 minute.

Once loaded into a game, should you leave the game entirely, you will increase your penalty tier by 1:

  • Penalty Tier 1 = 30 minute suspension from matchmaking & receives a loss
  • Penalty Tier 2 = 3 hour matchmaking suspension & receives a loss
  • Penalty Tier 3 = 24 hour matchmaking suspension & receives a loss
  • Penalty Tier 4 = 72 hour matchmaking suspension & receives a loss


Each week, your penalty tier is reduced by 1.
Each game also has a 5 minute reconnection period. Should you disconnect, you will have 5 minutes to get back into the match to avoid incurring any penalty. These 5 minutes are cumulative, so if you drop for 1 minute, and then drop again for 3 minutes, you will need to get back in-game within 1 minute if you drop a third time.

Players that are suspended from Matchmaking will still be able to play in non-Matchmaking matches, found in the Server Browser.

Friends
With so many wonderful weapon wielders in the Dirty Bomb community, we’re happy to finally make communicating and jumping in-game as a group that much easier.

Utilising your Steam Friend’s list, you’ll now be able to see when you friends are online and ready to play. Shoot them a message and invite them into a party for Ranked Matchmaking. Game on!

Balance Changes
GENERAL

  • Stopwatch Spawn times have been changed to 25s (from 30s) to increase battlefield intensity while maintaining a higher value to life
  • To give 'Objective Proficient' Mercs a greater distinction, we have made the following changes:
  • C4 Arming
    • PDA C4 Arming time to 2s (from 2.5s)
    • In-hand C4 Arming time to 6s (from 5s)
    • C4 Disarming
      • PDA C4 Disarm time to 4s (from 5s)
      • Screwdriver C4 Disarm time to 12s (from 10s)
    • Construction & Repair
      • Blowtorch Construct & Repair rate is now 3 times faster than Pliers
  • For consistency, multiple keypad-armed C4s can now be planted on multiple objectives by the same Merc
  • Reduced raise and lower times for most abilities and all weapons, based on player feedback
  • Updated low-health blood vignette screen effects to better indicate incoming damage and current health
  • Tweaked Merc hitboxes slightly to better fit the third person player models
  • With updates to the crouched collision-boxes, we have adjusted crouched eye heights to better correctly match the third person player model
  • Reduced incoming damage view kick by 10% based on player feedback

  • Healing Station healing rate for Medics reduced to 30hp/s (from 50hp/s)

  • Reduced Grenade Launcher count to 5 (from 6)
  • Increased Grenade Launcher cooldown to 9s (from 8)


PHOENIX
Healing Pulse

  • Increased Phoenix's healing pulse self-healing to 12hp/s (from 7hp/s)


STOKER
Molotov

  • Increased Molotov Cooldown to 40s (from 35s)


FRAGGER
Frag Grenade

  • Increased Frag Grenade inner (maximum) damage radius to 64u (from 32)


WEAPONS
The Shotguns have all been revisited and adjusted to better match player expectations, while the Timik-47 has been tweaked due to gameplay statistics.
ASSAULT RIFLES

  • Increased both vertical and horizontal recoil by ~10


SHOTGUNS

  • Introduced a more gradual damage falloff system for shotguns to make them feel more consistent
  • Reduced the effective range of the Shotguns to account for the more gradual damage falloff system


AUGMENTS
Many of the Augments have been updated to be more noticeably impactful, or tweaked to compliment the changes made in the recent DarWINian Update..
DEFENSIVE

  • Lock-on - Turrets, Mines and other automated defenses react 30% more quickly (from 20%)
  • Steady - 21.5% increase to deployables health (from 50%)
  • Tough - Reduces the delay until health regen starts by 33.3% (from 20%)
  • Big Ears - Enemy footsteps and other appropriate noises are 25% louder to you (from 10%)


INTEL

  • Spotter - 20% increase to the detection radius (from 1%)
  • Undercover - 40% increase to ability duration (from 20%)
  • Untrackable - Turrets, Mines and other automated defenses react 30% more slowly to your presence (from 20%)


OFFENSIVE

  • Drilled - 30% reduction to reload time (from 50%)
  • Ice Cold - 40% increase in time until overheating (from 50%)
  • Chopper - 15% increase to melee damage (from 20%)
  • Quick Draw - 45% reduction to the time taken to raise and lower (from 50%)
  • Bigger Blast - 20% increase to blast radius to AoE weapons (from 15%)
  • Explodydendron - 20% increase to blast radius to AoE abilities (from 15%)
  • Fail Safe - Reduces the damage taken from your own explosives by 25% (from 20%)


SCOUT

  • Flying Pig - Falling damage reduced by 100% (from 50%)
  • Sneaky - Reduces the amount of sound you generate when running by 25% (from 10%)
  • Quick Eye - 35% increased to movement speed when Iron Sighted (from 20%)
  • Springy - Reduces the penalty applied to the next jump, after completing a jump, by 35% (from 25%)


SUPPORT

  • Get Up! - 50% increase to health given on revive (from 15%)
  • Healing Reach - 20% increase to size of healing radius (from 15%)
  • Potent Packs - 30% Increase to health regen rate given by healing abilities (from 20%)
  • Extra Supplies - 25% cooldown reduction to support abilities (from 20%)

USER INTERFACE

  • Introduced a brand new Merc selection interface to the Merc screen.

  • A number of lobby waiting times have received slight reductions



AUDIO
Improvements have been made to audio occlusion in general, meaning walls, buildings and ceilings should block/reduce the volume of sounds occurring elsewhere in the map. A number of additional audio changes have been made.

  • Added sounds of immolation to containers exploding
  • Added Helicopter sounds on Trainyard.
  • Shortened train wreck sounds on Trainyard
  • Train Wreck now has 3D audio
  • Tweaks to ability audio made for most Mercs

We’ve introduced a whole host of new ways to earn XP in Dirty Bomb. These include:

  • Activating Healing Pulse
  • Self Reviving
  • IR Goggle Player Spotting
  • Deploying Proximity Mines
  • Damaging and Enemy with a Proximity Mine
  • Throwing a Smoke Grenade
  • Dropping a Medpack
  • Throwing a Molotov
  • Damaging an Enemy with fire from a Molotov
  • Deploying an Ammo Station
  • Throwing a Concussion Grenade
  • Deploying a Heartbeat Sensor
  • Detect an enemy with a Heartbeat Sensor
  • Defence + Offence
  • Providing backup by being close to an ally who kills an enemy
  • Landing a sticky bomb on an enemy
  • Dispersing an enemy Molotov using smoke or explosions
  • Dealing damage within the last 30 seconds
  • Receiving damage within the last 30 seconds
  • Killing an enemy who recently killed a teammate (Vengeance)
  • Killing an enemy who was actively damaging a teammate (Guardian)

Mercs are no longer unlocked via levelling up. With the rather large balance changes that have taken place recently, we’d love to see what you think about Dirty Bomb’s current batch of Mercs. Don’t forget to leave your feedback on the forum!

  • Reworks weapon hit logic so weapons that fire multiple projectiles per shot deal with rounding issues (as damage is an integer)

Čudi me da niko od naših to ne igra jer igra je fakat predobra. Evo ja sad svaki put kad stave stress test odigram par sati i moram priznati da je igra sve bolja i bolja. Ima još puno prostora za poboljšanja al igra izgleda čisto solidno za closed betu. Konačno nešto da se udalji malo od tradicionalnih i već predosadnih CS-ova, Codova i ostalih igara sve jedno te isti dosadni stil igre.

Baš kontra, sve je gora i gora ak se mene pita. Istina da poliraju neke stvari glede mehanike i to i dalje potencijalno izgleda sve jako dobro, ali balans klasa je totalna glupost i katastrofa. Bez zajebancije, prije 2 godine je bilo zabavnije za igrat nego sad :/

Kaj fakat? Meni se prije i nije dalo pretjerano igrat al sad mi je fakat prezabavna igra. Kolko sam gledo po steamu i face ljudi du podosta zadovoljni igricom . meni osobno najvise smetaju mape. Chappel mi je predobra i ona di treba na kraju 2 konteinera unistit al ove druge dvije su mi malo dosadne. A za balns, nezz jedino mi se cini proxy malo nebalansiran i ajd fragger kojeg no lifam je malo OP al ono nekak mi je logicno da su te dvije klase najjace kad iskljucivo dmgom doprinose timu. Artyi mogu masovno ubijat sa artiljetijom, medici mogu healt i ozivljavat pa su logicno slabiji.

Granate su easy mode, nemam niš protiv da radi damage, ali radius je prevelik. Ubijaju sa drugog kraja sobe nekad. Shotguni su glupi od prvog dana i skroz bezveze ak se mene pita, ne uklapaju se u igru nikako. Ali health station je gamebreaker, prejako van svake mjere, još kombinacija da ta mala ima i shotku samo pogoršava stvar.  Fali još neki normalan eng, a ne samo proxy, Sawbonez je fakat slab, em gan ne radi demiđe, a ni healat se nemože kak spada ak usporediš sa aurom. Cirkus žešći ak se mene pita, neznam zaš generalno na sve strane svi samo pozitivne dojmove imaju kad je ovo očito broken na neki način. Neznam, call me crazy, al mislim da sam se naigro dosta takvih stvari da mogu ocijenit jel neš izbalansirano ili ne. Tu tično vidim cookie-cutter raspodjelu klasa koju je glupo ne uzet.

Nešto malo poliranja, al to je to od dobrih stvari. Joinanje prek steama ne radi, ali bitno da su integrirali da buy over steam funkcionira (cijene su bezobrazne btw). Levelanje ide kriminalno sporo, za unlockat charactera treba preko 100 gejmova odigrat. Ajd, dali su 2 komada free i par ih je u rotaciji svaki tjedan, al svejedno bezveze. Balans i dalje 0 bodova, pročitajte si ragnakov post na blogu, manje više ispravno adresira sve probleme koje je indentificiralo više nas:

 

"Me and many others said it so many times already that i dont feel like repeating myself but seeing that you are new here i cant blame you for not knowing, so just some gross imbalances: 1. Healing station: Whoever stand on it is a demi god and a lot of mercs have no means to deal with it. I did seen a post about what they want to change but i cant grasp why is it taking so long especially that it ruins the game for a lot of players. Also if SD is working on something but its taking more time (say changing machanics) then sticky topic would be nice. 2. Fragger: Demi god without healing station, god when standing on one. He have the best weapons in the game, his main weapon is obviously too strong and br-16 is probably as well (the nerf didnt solve the main problem of the gun so it will probably stay overpowered). Last nades nerf was worthless, honestly, it doesnt even touch on the problem as if it was blindly nerfed without idea what to do with it. How can SD balance team not see that easy to use almost impossible to spot flying at supersonic speed grenade is a problem. Instead of nerfing damage that doesnt do anything they should increase cook time and travel time, making it both harder to use and offering more counter play. 3. Perks that affect sound: Unless those were removed its a huge mistake to add such aguments to the game, especially that there is already TONS of problems with audio (mostly because of things being too loud/too quiet). Also it would be pretty fantastic if i could hear anything when im getting hit instead of that super loud "you are getting hit" sound and i dont remember when i last time could localise someone by footsteps =/. Those are my main grips at the moment that should be fixed NOW, not somewhere in the future. There is a ton of minor ones as well (light classes with shotguns, mg still not having visible trackers most of the time [more of a bug i guess], mines that are obviously too good as an offensive tool, etc) but i can deal with them. Fragger, healing station and poor sound are kinda hard to deal with so it would be nice if there was at least a confirmation that its being worked on. Sorry for being a bit passive-aggressive but its frustrating that those things didnt get fixed for over 6 months already =/."

Dirty Bomb - New Loadout Cards

New Loadout Cards system

 

We’ve given Dirty Bomb’s Loadout Cards a complete makeover to make them sexier and more useful.
Loadout Cards now come in seven rarities, which define the number of Augments they have, the weapons the Merc can use and what sort of outfits they feature:

 

• Default (0 Augments) (what each Merc starts with)
• Lead (1 Augment)
• Iron (2 Augments)
• Bronze (3 Augments)
• Silver (3 Augments)
• Gold (3 Augments)
• Obsidian (3 Augments) (exclusively obtainable via special events)
 
Loadout Cards are found in Equipment Cases, which drop randomly at the end of matches.
You can now also buy additional Equipment Cases straight from the Store in exchange for Credits.

 

Trading Up Loadout Cards

 

Craving some of those elusive Gold Loadout Cards right here, right now?
Going hand in hand with the new Loadout Cards, we’ve also added a way to let you exchange unwanted Loadout Cards for a Loadout Card of the next highest rarity. Here’s how:

 

• Click the Loadouts tab, and select Trade Up Loadouts on the next screen
• Next, select the Merc you want to create a Loadout Card for along with the desired Rarity
• Finally, select the cards you want to exchange and pay the Credits transaction fee to create your new Loadout Card
• Each Loadout Card you create is randomly selected from all of the Loadout Cards available at the selected rarity for the selected Merc

 

Trading up requirements are as follows:
• Iron Loadout Card: 3 Lead Loadout Cards + 500 Credits
• Bronze Loadout Card: 3 Iron Loadout Cards + 1,000 Credits
• Silver Loadout Card: 4 Bronze Loadout Cards + 2,000 Credits
• Gold Loadout Card: 4 Silver Loadout Cards + 4,000 Credits
