Ekipa je izračunala koliko ovakav PC stvarno košta:
ok, guys. let's analyze this a little more objectively. unlike the custom systems which most of us are used to, the new 'commodore amiga' is something anyone can actually build themselves using off-the-shelf components. so how much would that cost? i mean, to get an exact replica of the machine our friends in florida are offering?
using numbers from online retailer newegg, i drew up a little price list to see what we could build ourselves. here is the bill of materials:
* ZOTAC Z68ITX-B-E: $210 (source)
* intel core i7 2600K 3.5GHz: $340 (source)
* 1TB SATA hard drive: $110 (source)
* 2 x 8GB DDR3 SO-DIMMs: $149 (source)
* intel mini-PCIe wireless card: $19 (source)
* wesena HTPC ITX2 case: $65 (source)
* engraving services $20 (see previous post)
* linux mint: free
* amiga forever: $30 (source)
now, we also need to consider shipping as well. and the time involved to assemble, but just the parts listed above puts us at $943. and that's without looking for the best retail deal, to say nothing of the breaks we'd get if we ordered in bulk, as CUSA would do.
that puts a bit of a different spin on it, eh? that brand is apparently worth a fortune.
Kako na brzinu oderat nostalgičare. Ovo ima veze s amigom kao većina nas s atomskom fizikom.
