What is a game renderer?
A renderer is the application of the process of creating or generating an image from 2D and 3D models. It is responsible for geometry, viewpoint, texture, lighting, and shading information which unites to create a scene. Rendering is often shared between a CPU and a GPU. Most lighting effects are created through a complex rendering equation that uses the light source as reference.
Often we speak of changes in the version of DirectX when describing the changes. DirectX is simply the API in which developers can use to assist them when writing code for the rendering process. Think of the DirectX version as a way to find the simplest way to handle rendering a scene. The later the DX version, the greater the efficiency of the CPU and GPU.
Why is DayZ's Renderer bad?
As we've all experienced, cities hold terrible fps drops and often sit below 30fps even for someone with a beastly gaming PC. DayZ's renderer is very outdated, using DX9 technology and some elements of night rendering are as old as DX7. Both DayZ and Arma 3, tie the rendering process into the simulation. This is very taxing on the fps, especially because the server handles a majority of the processing of loot, players, zombies, physics, and other calculations. When simulation is tied to rendering, low server performance equates to drops in client fps. Also DayZ does not utalize the GPU effectively.
What will the Enfusion Engine bring in terms of the Renderer?
Renderer will be separated from simulation
GPU will be utilized more through optimization regarding the scene composition, new lightning, more culling, new materials, new terrain, particle effects and much more
Most of the visible changes besides performance will come over time
Better particle effects (blood, muzzle flash, bullet splash, explosions, etc.)
DirectX implementation aimed for late in the year (meaning we have to deal with DX9 for at least 10 more months)
Postprocessing effects, and some of the more advanced techniques are aimed at end of the year for new directX implementation
New DX will be either 11 or 12
Light diffusion, and better visibility of lights depending on size/brightness (No more lighting through walls)
Better and more natural vision at night
Enfusion Engine will likely be used for future BI games (Potentially Arma 4?)
More visuals on character for health problems (Blood/bleeding, dripping wet, signs of sicknesses, etc.)
Decapitation will not be possible still
Improved occlusion culling
Multi-core & Multi-threading support
64-bit (time to upgrade from your windows XP OS)
Improved object handling
Darker interiors
Major visual changes
When will it be completed?
By the end of Quarter 1 this year, we should see the renderer become detached from simulation. This will help to eliminate poor fps due to servers becoming "bogged down." The 100% replacement of the renderer with new technology, DirectX 11/12 support and new ways of processing will come in bits and pieces which can take until the full release of DayZ.

Dobre vijesti.
Mislim da im je najbolje raditi na optimizaciji sve do bete sad. Stvari i neke features ce lako dodati naknadno,cak i u ovom stanju igre sa trenutnim sistemima i lootom i oruzjima igra nudi dosta. Jedino šta joj fali je dobra optimizacija za engine da se nemoramo boriti sa FPSom unutar gradova i na random lokacijama.Samim time igra bi postala barem duplo igrivija.
Sto se mene tiče atmosferu su postigli,jako je napeta igra...Mozda da dorade zombije jos,trenutno su samo smetnja i ništa više,naporni su. Imho trebali bi jos opasniji bit (ipak su zombiji,po svakom loreu cak i ugris/ogrebotina su fatalni) ,ali i reward bi trebaobiti veći (loot na zombije vratit),ipak su zombiji u jednom trenu bile zive osobe,nije nemoguce zamislit da vojnik zombi na sebi ima municiju ili nešto upotrebljivo.
Zato cekam tu betu kao ozeblo sunce.Posto su rekli da ce optimizaciju sredjivati u beti.Nadam se samo da to nisu pusta obecanja.
Ja imam memory probleme od zadnjeg peča,nakon nekog vremena igra jednotavno crasha. Onda udjem,igram neko vrijeme i opet krešam. (cca sat i po 2 igranja)

Jucer... 40/40 server. Od grisinha do chernogorskog niti jedan hebeni covjek... trazimo shranje i ne mozemo ga nac :D

načekat ćeš se ja sam malo skresao detalje i igram normalno.. rijetko mi pada ispod 25 fps-a, većinom je preko 30 čak i u gradovima.

Meni je FPS isti kad nafrljim grafiku i kad stavim sve na low.
Ovak i onak je igra CPU heavy,might aswell look pretty while having shitty fps.
Testirao sam par sati neki dan,sjene jedino mi utjecu na fps,njih drzim na low.
I nisam ziher al mislim da sam dobio cca 4-5 fps iz launch parametra za svoj proc (amd fx6300), stavio sam cpu count=3 i threads = 5.
Ovak i onak je igra CPU heavy,might aswell look pretty while having shitty fps.
CPU heavy je object detail.. stavi na normal i porast će ti FPS.
BTW testirali smo frend i ja nekidan na NE airfieldu razliku na koju udaljenost se vidi igrače između normal i high..
normal do cca 500-600m.. na high se vidi i malo dalje, ali su igrači već minorne točkice koje i ovako i onako bez scope-a nije moguće vidjeti.
Ghillie suit je čudo. Samo sa ovim na glavi i puški kad se stoji pored drveta ...znali su moji suigrači proć 5 metara od mene i primjetit me tek ako se mičem. Strava
Sam nikak da nadjem smersh vestu pa kombiniram s smersh bekom da napravim cijeli suit... :(
p.s koje su najbolje lokacije za nać mosin? Onak sve šta nalazim u 90% slucajeva je SKS...Ekšli nijednom nisam ni nasao mosin sam,uvijek sam il ubio nekog za njega il su mi suigrači ''nasli'' mosin pa dali
